Moshi moshi, mate!
That’s Japanese people’s telephone hello! I guess it works with emails too. Sounds sweet though, moshi moshi. I’m gonna use it for the remainder of the vacation. And did you read this WEB’s number right? It’s one-ten. Not one-one ten. I’ve made that mistake before.
Starts with an annoying correction, classic me. And speaking of classy, my birthday celebration last week, which I’d pegged to be awkward and cheesy, was not! I met my new classmates around sunset, for coffee and pizza. It was slightly more awkward than I thought. I think socializing requires constant practice, which I do not, hence the ice took a while to be broken. Then I had to leave for the bigger thing that my parents had planned at a hotel.
My parents insisted that my eighteenth have a nice celebration. So they invited relatives and family friends for a ‘party’. So I wasn’t excited except for the gifts. I was nervous and looking up social etiquettes, conversation starters and stuff on my phone during the hour I was stuck in traffic. But when I got to the banquet I saw a table with several presents on it; and hence proceeded to have a fun birthday (!?!).
Sorry about the me-charade. But I wanna tell you about my gifts. I got ties, cuff-links, watches, gift cards, cash etc which were the usual suspects. An unusual suspect was a pretty leather bound Bhagavad Gita. Solid gift but inconsiderate. I also got tickets to the Mumbai Indians game the next night. You know the Mumbai-Delhi match on Saturday where Mumbai batted terribly but then got Delhi 21 for 6? I was there! My parents say their gift to me is ~shipping~. I don’t know what it is but I’m very curious, they won’t even give me a hint (ಠ_ಠ).
Cheerio!
Tis, mate was the Weekly Email Blast, Email 110. Happy holidays !!!
