Here’s to One Year of Emails!
And to the people who lost their life on Tuesday, 22-03-2016 in Brussels, Belgium. Proving once again, some humans are the stupidest, most infuriating bastards you’ve ever seen and also that some are the hardiest, bravest creatures to walk the earth.
Technically, the first anniversary of the W.E.B. is on the 28th of March. But because the Gregorian calendar is asymmetrical, this is a leap year, and the inaugural email blast was on Saturday, today shall be celebrated as the 1st anniversary of the Weekly Email Blast!
In honor of this anniversary, today has been rechristened as ‘Good Friday’ ( I was going for ‘Great Friday’ but settled for good because it’s good enough ) and is a public holiday almost worldwide. You’re welcome. Yesterday was another big festival, Holi. Obviously, it was a holiday. That’s the only good thing about it. A ‘festival’ corrupted to such an extent that it now as no bearing to the mythology it roots back to. Plus, it’s the opposite of cleanliness and the definition of wastage. Whatever it takes for validation from your peers, eh? Especially for several Indian millennials who are absolutely desperate for validation.
I love pointing out flaws in society and hopelessly trying rectify ’em. Let’s stop lying to ourselves, mate. Let’s call a spade a spade. We’re the result of six million years of evolution with 100,000 years of experience as Homo sapiens. Not ass kissing, boot licking monkeys.So feel free to have and voice your opinions.
On Monday, Apple released a new iPhone and a new iPad. The iPhone SE looks exactly like iPhone 5S, a beauty in itself but packs the internals of 6S. And the 9.7 inch iPad Pro looks like iPad Air 2, but packs the internals of the iPad Pro. Nothing huge, just simple evolutionary changes.
The T20 World Cup is splendid too, just flipping spectacular. 144WWW!
